Why Cabeceira exists
Cabeceira began with a simple impulse: when someone we admire mentions a book that changed how they think, we want to read it too. Those recommendations are usually scattered across an old post, a three-hour podcast, an interview or a book that is hard to search.
This independent project brings those titles together in one place. Every recommendation must be connected to traceable evidence and identified as primary or secondary, so readers can see where it came from and how it was classified rather than relying on hearsay.
What “Cabeceira recommends” means
Almost everything on the site records recommendations made by other people. A small number of books carry the “Cabeceira recommends” seal: those are our own editorial choices and are always marked clearly so they cannot be confused with third-party recommendations.
The seal is independent of affiliate relationships. A commission never decides which books enter or leave the catalog, and our affiliate disclosure explains how purchase links are funded.
How to contribute
Cabeceira improves when readers participate. If you know someone whose reading deserves to be documented, or find a recommendation assigned to the wrong person or supported by a weak source, tell us. We take the catalog seriously and investigate corrections promptly.
